Provide feedback to the product development groups, if applicable.Protect SEL Intellectual Property by writing patent and copyright applications.Write and present application notes, white papers, and technical reports, conference, and journal papers on original and innovative applications or ideas.Train & mentor engineers and technicians, and support hiring the best employees.Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.Understand. Create. Simplify.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsB.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent experience6+ years' working experience in at least two of the following areas:-- electric power systems practices and philosophies-- utility automation and control systems-- utility grade communication schemes-- digital signal processing practices-- statistical analysis and data analytic techniquesExcellent technical writing skillsBroad experience with simulation software to analyze power system transients, load flow and short circuit studiesStrong knowledge of power system analysis, power system protection and power system stabilityBroad experience with analytical tools (Matlab, Simulink, etc.)Willing to travel up to 25%Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of all of the following:-- electric power system practices and philosophies-- utility automation and control systems-- utility grade communication schemes-- digital signal processing practices Location InformationSEL s corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
